Save the Narwhal

On Saturday, January 13th at 11AM, we’ll be tapping an insane 4-year vertical, from 2013 to 2016, of Sierra Nevada’s malt-forward monster, Narwhal! This Imperial Stout is inspired by the mysterious creature that thrives in the deepest fathoms of the frigid Arctic Ocean. Featuring incredible depth of malt flavor, rich with notes of espresso, baker’s cocoa, roasted grain and a light hint of smoke, Narwhal is a massive malt-forward monster. Aggressive but refined with a velvety smooth body and decadent finish.

In addition to 4 vintages of this monster beer, we will also be tapping the 2016 Barrel-Aged version!

That’s not all – we’ll also be tapping Sierra Nevada’s Pale Ale, Nooner Pilsner, Kellerweise Hefeweizen, and new hoppy creations, the Hazy Little Thing IPA and Hop Bullet DIPA! (Note: All Sierra Nevada Beers will be available in 64 oz. and 32 oz. growlers and pitchers – in addition to the 12 oz. and 4 oz. pours, with only exception being the Barrel-Aged Narwhal.)

This event isn’t just about good beer, it’s also about giving back to a good cause. PHP will donate $1 for every 12 oz. of Narwhal purchased to the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), in an effort to help save the Narwhal from climate change-related issues that are endangering its habitat. Sierra Nevada is generously going to match our donation! We will also have donation jars for cash donations, or y’all can add donations to your tabs if you’d prefer.
