Reading from his new volume, An Honest Day’s Prayer, Nathan Brown offers prayer-like poems of hope, healing, and gratitude – often laced with a strong dose of humor – for the people that matter most to us, the state of our world, and some of the ordinary and extraordinary things that make life worth living. Pianist Carla McElhaney provides reflective, curated musical responses to Nathan’s readings by composers who frequently appear on her KMFA Night Music playlist, including Ola Gjielo, Peter Maxwell Davies, Erik Satie, Philip Glass, and more.
